ESG – Environmental, Social & Governance

What ESG means to us

Today, companies are also evaluated on their commitment to sustainability, which is not only measured by their attention to the environment, but also by their impact on society and how they are managed. The goal is simple: to generate value in the long term, while paying attention to negative externalities.

Socrates' commitment to ESG

Since its foundation in 1984, Socrate S.p.A. has distinguished itself for its technical vision focused on continuous process improvement and the protection of life and progress, as fully expressed in its positioning.

Our ESG commitment translates into concrete actions:

Environmental – Monitoring and reduction of environmental impact

Social – A society that values individual freedoms and rights

Motorsport and equality: our commitment at Monza

We firmly believe in gender equality and female talent, even in highly competitive environments.
We have chosen to support an all-female project in the world of motorsport, sponsoring a team of female drivers competing in the ACI Racing Weekend in Monza, one of the most prestigious events on the Italian motorsport calendar, held from 20 to 22 June at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. We believe that the growing presence of women in a traditionally male-dominated sector such as GT racing is a concrete example of how barriers can be broken down and a more inclusive culture promoted, valuing merit, passion and determination. Through our support, we want to help fuel positive change by giving visibility to projects that can inspire new generations.

An inclusion project at the foot of the Himalayas

Similarly, a truly free society cannot but be committed to the freedom and dignity of every individual, wherever they may be. This is why we have chosen to support, with a long-term project, the Italian-Amala association (www.italian-amala.com), which has been assisting children in need in the Ladakh region of India for decades.
In the village of Choglamsar, a few kilometres from the capital Leh and at an altitude of over 3,500 metres, the centre welcomes Tibetan and Ladakhi children who are orphans or children of nomadic families in serious difficulty. Here, thanks to the Tibetan Children’s Villages network, the young guests receive education, shelter and a better future, beyond any ethnic or religious barriers. A concrete commitment to guarantee rights, inclusion and opportunities.
