Natural Gas and Biomethane Quality

Business Unit: Process Analysis

At the points of entry into the national gas network, it is essential to monitor not only the quantity but also the physical and chemical characteristics of the gas injected, for both fiscal and quality purposes.

Opportunities

In addition to fiscal chromatographic solutions (even in the presence of added H2) in accordance with the new UNI 11885-2022 standards, it is necessary to continuously monitor various components to determine the quality of the gas supplied. Similar measurements are performed on biomethane (UNI TS 11537) and on regasified LNG when it is fed into the national grid and at certain points known as “re-delivery points” where ownership of the gas passes from one entity to another.
