The PG11 Optical Point Detector by Optronics is a point infrared gas detector for hydrocarbons, designed to ensure reliable, fast and continuous detection in ambienti industriali complessi e classificati. Grazie alla tecnologia Thanks to Solid State Infrared SafeSource™ technology, the PG11 delivers long-term stability, eliminating the need for periodic field calibration and significantly reducing maintenance requirements.

The sensor uses an infrared optical path with thermal compensation and continuous internal condition monitoring, enabling early detection of abnormal operating conditions and ensuring maximum system availability. With a T90 response time of less than 1.5 seconds, the PG11 is particularly suitable for applications where rapid gas detection is a critical safety requirement.

Designed for integration into SIL2 SC3 functional safety systems, the PG11 supports 4–20 mA, HART 7 and OptoCom™ digital communication, allowing seamless integration into existing control and safety systems. The robust 316L stainless steel housing, with IP66/IP67 protection rating, makes the detector suitable for harsh environments, including vibration, high humidity and extreme temperatures.

The PG11 is ideal for applications in Oil & Gas, industrial plants, HVAC systems, gas turbines, double-walled piping and installations requiring reliable detection of methane, propane and other hydrocarbons.
