The PGE11 Optical Point Detector Extended is the advanced version of the PG11, developed for applications requiring higher sensitivity and greater installation flexibility.. Thanks to an extended optical path, the PGE11 enables more effective detection in complex configurations such as ducts, pipelines and extraction systems, while maintaining the same robustness and reliability.

Based on Solid State Infrared SafeSource™ technology, the PGE11 ensures permanent factory calibration, zero long-term drift and an exceptionally long optical source lifetime. The integrated condition monitoring system continuously verifies the correct operation of hardware and software, automatically indicating any maintenance requirements.

The PGE11 is designed for SIL2 SC3 functional safety applications, featuring best-in-class PFD values and proof test intervals of up to 5 years.. The 4–20 mA, HART and OptoCom™ interfaces enable easy integration into industrial automation and safety systems, while heated sapphire optics ensure consistent performance even in the presence of condensation or contaminants.

Available in multiple lengths, the PGE11 adapts to a wide range of applications, including Oil & Gas facilities, HVAC ducts, LNG and LPG lines, turbines, high-criticality industrial plants, and all scenarios requiring reliable real-time detection of hydrocarbon gases.
